Water Safety

This week on Wednesday we did Water Safety at the millennium for getting ready for camp. We first did a session with Diana. First we did some stuff on the raft like sitting on the edge of the raft and putting our hands to our chest crossed over and falling in backwards into the water. We also were in groups and once we fell into the water we pushed one of the strongest people in the group and lifted them up into the water and then we got another strongest person and then one at a time the two people will lift us up by the life jackets and lift us onto the boat and so on until everyone was on. Then we went on to Julie and she tought us how to do a chain.

We also got into partners and i was with elisa and we linked hands to hands and elbows to elbows and we swam on  our back with life jackets on. So that was water safety.

My First 4 weeks at school

Me as a year 5 and in a new class is hard work. But i'm here to tell you about me first 4 weeks at school. There’s  so much new opportunities in year ⅚. On othe third or second week of school we started science our topic for Science was What’s the Matter? We have been doing our Science with Rm 15. ( Mrs Seth )  We do brain teaser thursday with Rm 15 too. Today we did First Aid for camp coming up in march and Mac from st john learn’t us what to do if anyone is unconscious. We practiced on a mannequin to do CPR. Another thing that we did in the past few weeks are  Sizzling Summer Scenes we had to do a kind of fancy sunglasses. Then put what we were doing in the holidays so when we had drawn our  Summer Scenes

I have signed up for swimming trials so this thursday i am going to the millenium pools so thats my first 4 weeks at school.

Meeting baby skylah

When I saw baby Skylah for the first time i thought

She would be happy or maybe sad.

I thought that because baby’s cry

A Lot but she was happy.

My favorite moment was when

I held her hand because i felt her precise

Hand.

I think baby skylah would be able to roll

Around because she was strong as a baby.

I hope baby skylah will be able to do things

That she couldn’t do on the first visit.

When i saw baby skylah for the first time i thought would she be happy or sad i thought that because babies cry a lot  but she was happy. My favorite moment was when i held her hand because when i held her hand  i felt special because when i felt special i was i was interested cause baby skylah was gripping my hand. I think  think baby skylah would be able to roll around because she was strong as a baby . i hope baby skylah will able to do things that she couldn't do on this first visit.

When i saw baby skylah for the second time she was gurgling very excitedly and happily.

I thought she could crawl around but instead she was more active. My favorite moment was when she gurgled looking at madai because it made me laugh. I think next time she would able to play with the toys more actively because on the chart she is in the middle.

Baby visit 3 - caring for the baby skylah

Today was another baby visit baby skylah held my hand and i did a little giggle and made me happy front pack or a back pack of yourself and the baby sits in it.







4 Today baby skylah said her first word she said “mama¨ . i noticed that skylah  sat up by herself  but mummy bel had to hold her hand a little bit because she can't hold her back enough yet. A moment that made me feel special was when she put a fish in the fish bowl because she could,t the last time. Next time i see baby skylah’ i think she would be able to sit by herself and maybe crawl.




5 Today baby Skylah needed a nappy change but no one laughed because babies need nappy changes. Baby Skylah cried alot but when she noticed something now she would stop but this time we knew she needed a nappy change. I noticed something, she could sit up by herself i was so happy but we put something behind her just in case she didn't fall.

Baby visit 6 - saftey

Today when mummy bell and baby skylah first walked in i noticed that she had a red nose. Mummy bell tolled us that when she gets cold her skin gets red. Baby skylah had lots of changes she could CRAWL! I felt proud of her because she did an amazing job. Mummy bell tolled us that when baby skylah was sitting by herself mummy bell was starting to hid cauds around  when baby skylah walked. I think next time she m ight be able to walk.
